I’m Jayme Stone. Your future myth-shaper, story-liner, brand-crafter and copy architect.
I help creative folks tell their larger-than-life story. I work with artists, makers and solo entrepreneurs of all stripes—musicians, photographers, changemakers, therapists, coaches. If you have an online presence, you need a bio that doesn’t read like a resume for a cubicle job. I’ll capture the arc and ethos of your singular narrative to find a storyline that connects you with your ideal audience.
You’re here because you’ve probably tried to write your own bio and stared blankly at the blinking cursor, filled with dread or frozen with judgment. Perhaps you can’t connect the dots or find the throughline in your life’s work. I see constellations where others only see stars. Maybe you’ve elicited the help of ChatGPT only to find the writing sounds wooden—a carbon copy of everything else on the internet. It takes imagination, literary skill and an eye for the unseen to craft a bio that is unique, resonant and relatable. That’s my jam.
The process includes a research phase, an in-depth interview, a first draft and one round of revisions. I write bios modularly so each paragraph can stand on its own two feet and be recombined like Lego blocks. This gives you the flexibility to adjust the length and focus of your bio to suit different contexts—your website’s “about” page; the tagline on your socials; or a press release about a new project, product or offering.
“Jayme is a bio-whisperer.”
“I was struggling to write objectively about my story and find a way to put a lot of big ideas together succinctly. Jayme interviewed me with genuine curiosity and crafted a beautiful bio—he even unearthed some new ideas and meaning behind what I’d been trying to say but couldn’t find the words. A huge help and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.”
“Jayme was a huge help in re-writing a punchier bio for my band, Hot Buttered Rum. He helped me quickly pinpoint a central metaphor and find wording that resonated with me, as well as my manager, bandmates and publicist.”
“Jayme’s gift of getting to the heart of my story and drawing it out with colorful, concise and compelling prose helped me frame my project—not only to the outside world but also to myself.”
“I dread writing bios for myself, so I never expected the process of having Jayme write my bio to be so much fun. Not only was it a thoroughly enjoyable experience, I love the result—my bio is as unique as the music I make.”
